About the Event

Purpose of the Event:

The Global Day of Repentance on September 2, 2023 from 9 AM EST to 2 PM EST is a solemn and reflective occasion dedicated to the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. It aims to provide a platform for all participants to come together in prayer, remorse, and repentance for the historical and lasting impact of the Transatlantic Slave Trade over the last 400 years. Through this event, we seek to acknowledge the painful history of the Diaspora, promote healing, and pave the way for unity and liberation among all people of African descent. The day's observance aligns with the mission of the United Nation of Yisrael (UNY) by emphasizing the importance of collective healing and fostering a unified future.

Accommodations:

The United Nation of Yisrael has secured a room block of 30 rooms with a nightly rate of $99 at the Westin Crystal City Reagan National Airport Hotel. The room block is available for the night of September 2, 2023, ONLY unless you are flying in or driving a long distance. In that case,  you would need to reserve a day early for the night of September 1, 2023. The deadline to reserve your room at the discounted rate is August 21, 2023.

Please utilize this link for bookings.
